About this guide
This site is a planning guide to Amanohashidate and the coast around it, from Miyazu to the boathouses of Ine. It is written for people working out a trip: how to get there from Osaka, which viewpoints to head for, where to sleep and where to eat.
Nobody here is selling you anything
The guide answers to no one in the travel trade. No operator, resort, booking agent or government body owns or funds it. There is no shop and no booking desk, and nothing here is for sale.
The person behind it
Adam Yong runs the guide. He founded YS Feet and lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He studied computer science and has spent over 20 years in software engineering and digital growth. These days his work is in search: SEO and search data. He and his family have travelled with young children since 2013, and YS Feet began as the journal of those trips.
On this guide, he decides which places get a page, going by what people actually search for. He runs the system that files each fact alongside its source. He also reads every page before it is published and again after launch.
Adam Yong has not been to Amanohashidate: the guide is built from named sources, not from a trip.

Where the money comes from
Tour buttons on some pages lead to Klook, GetYourGuide and Viator, and all three pay affiliates. Book through one and the site may be paid a commission. What you pay stays exactly the same.
Commission is never part of the decision. A tour, hotel or restaurant is not added, moved up or left off because of what it pays. There is also no way for a business to buy a spot here or a higher place on a page.
Things this guide will never claim
- A trip story: nobody from the site is said to have been to Amanohashidate.
- A review of its own: the site does not review places.
- A made-up rating: ratings shown are taken from Google Maps or the booking site, dated when read.
- A paid placement of any sort.
Fixing mistakes
If something looks wrong, the contact page is the way to tell us.
The sources behind each page, and the checks every fact passes, are set out on how we check facts.
